Last 14 April was first day of Bangla new year 1417. The day was holiday in Bangladesh. The first day of Bangla year is know as Pohela Boishakh. Boishakhi Mela (fair) is organized all over the country to welcome the new year. These photos are taken from Ramna Park and Suhrawardy Uddayan of Dhaka city.

Sonargaon Folk Arts and Crafts Museum

I visited Sonargaon Folk Arts and Crafts Museum yesterday. Once Sonargaon was a capital city of Bangladesh which was established by Isha Khan.

Banglar Taj Mahal (Taj Mahal of Bangaldesh)

Today I visited "Banglar Taj Mahal" located at Sonargaon, Narayanganj. It's a replica of Taj Mahal built by Emperor Shajahan several centuries ago.
It's not yet finished although it has already been opened for the visitors. Here are few photos:
