Pohela Boishakh is the first day of Bangla Calender. It is a traditional festival for the bangla speaking people worldwide. The day is a national holiday in Bangladesh. The biggest festival and gathering occur at the Ramna park of Dhaka.

Last 14 April was first day of Bangla new year 1417. The day was holiday in Bangladesh. The first day of Bangla year is know as Pohela Boishakh.
